Experience the best of land and sea with our Shoal & Sea Excursion—a 6 to 7 hour adventure through the stunning landscapes of Sobieszewo Island. This bespoke tour includes a moderately challenging walk through the Mewia Łacha Reserve, where forest trails, shifting dunes and coastal paths offer excellent opportunities to spot birdlife and other wildlife. Then hop aboard a private boat (for up to 5 guests) and head out to sea to view the largest colony of wild seals on the Polish coast, established on a sand spit just offshore. Perfect for photographers or groups looking for a fun and unforgettable day out in nature. Available from March to October
Tour Details:

This private nature experience begins with a 6.6 km guided walk through the west side of the Mewia Łacha Nature Reserve, at the easternmost tip of Sobieszewo Island. Rated moderate due to sandy and uneven terrain, the loop begins in peaceful pine woodland before joining a cobbled trail along the Vistula River. An early observation point offers views of waterfowl and, with luck, elegant grey herons. The path then leads into wilder dune landscapes, where wild roses bloom and the air is alive with damselflies and dragonflies. At the far end of the spit, we reach a raised platform—perfect for scanning the estuary for seabirds and grey seals resting on the distant sandbars. After a walk along the coast, we loop back through forest trails before heading out on a 60–75 minute private boat excursion for an even closer view of the seals and coastal birdlife.
Nearly 100 species of water and marsh birds have been recorded within the reserve, not including the many other bird species that inhabit the surrounding forests. Depending on the season, birds of note that can be spotted here include:
