Moose Tracking Trail
Easy
7.5km
4-6 Hrs
March - July
September - November
Join us in search of Poland’s magnificent moose during a guided wildlife tracking adventure through forests and wetlands. Follow fresh tracks and signs, learning how to read the landscape as we search for these elusive giants in their natural habitat. Moose sightings are never guaranteed, but the excitement is in the tracking! Along the way, we’ll also keep an eye out for birds and other mammals. Tours last 4–6 hours, giving us the flexibility to follow the signs and spend more time in the best areas. Available during the autumn rut season (September–November) and again from March–July, when moose are particularly rewarding to look for.
(Please note: in cases of continuous heavy rain, heavy snow or storm winds, the tour does not operate for safety reasons.)
Tour Details:

We explore the western side of Sobieszewo Island’s expansive forest, following woodland trails and forest tracks as we search for signs of Poland’s magnificent moose. Rather than following a fixed route, we adapt the walk to the conditions and to what we find along the way, tracking footprints, feeding signs and other clues that might lead us towards a moose.
The tour lasts roughly 4–6 hours, depending on the weather, trail conditions and, most importantly, how long it takes us to find a moose! Every day is different, so flexibility is key. Along the way, we’ll also keep an eye out for birds and other mammals that share the forest with these impressive giants.
Moose sightings are never guaranteed, but we’ll use our knowledge of the area, tracking skills and plenty of patience to give you the best possible chance of seeing one in the wild. Tours run in suitable weather conditions, although light rain or snow won’t necessarily stop us. Please dress appropriately for the forecast and wear sturdy, comfortable footwear suitable for uneven woodland trails.
And if the moose decides to remain hidden? Don’t worry, there’s still plenty of wildlife to discover along the way!
